SkySafari Kenya allows guests to visit three of the country’s most diverse and iconic parks via scenic flights in the comfort of an executive-class Cessna Grand Caravan without the costs associated with hiring a private plane.
SkySafari by Elewana guests a taste of the best safari experiences in Kenya coupled with luxury accommodation, gourmet dining, incredible game viewing and private aircraft transfers. SkySafari passengers enjoy business class seating, a fast-track airport experience, butler service at all of the properties, as well as only one check-in and check-out during the seven-night journey. In summary, a luxury, stress-free experience, that enables guests to enjoy direct transfers and avoid multiple stops on busy scheduled aircraft.
Launching on June 7th, the Kenya fixed itinerary will depart every weekend and is guaranteed with two guests. Extra departures are available upon request with a minimum of four guests.
SkySafari by Elewana will visit three of Kenya’s most prestigious safari regions including the famous fertile savannah of the Masai Mara, the elephant-populated salt plains of Amboseli located in the foothills of Kilimanjaro and the arid desert wildlife gem of Meru National Park, the location of the movie Born Free, which celebrates its 60th anniversary in 2016.
The SkySafari journey will begin at Hemingways, an exclusive boutique hotel neighbouring the Nairobi National Park with stunning views of the Ngong Hills. From Nairobi SkySafari flies to Tortilis Camp which is based on a private 30,000 acre conservancy bordering Amboseli National Park with unrivalled views of Kilimanjaro. The lush green wetlands in this otherwise dry area make Amboseli one of the best wildlife-viewing areas on the planet with a population of over 1,000 resident elephants, in addition to lion and cheetah among the big cats that roam the area.
SkySafari will then fly on to Elsa’s Kopje, a boutique lodge sculpted into the Mughwango Hill overlooking the rugged and remote Meru National Park. The lodge is built on the site where George and Joy Adamson built their camp and released Elsa the Lioness, star of the movie Born Free which was filmed in Meru almost 60 years ago. Visitors to Elsa’s enjoy all 870 kmsq of Meru National Park to themselves including a thriving rhino sanctuary, large elephant herds, lion and birdlife and more diversity of animal species than any other park in East Africa. Meru is also the only National Park to permit ranger-guided bush walks.
The SkySafari’s final destination is the Sand River Masai Mara camp located in the Masai Mara National Reserve, close to the Tanzanian border. The luxury camp replicates the romance of the exclusive permanent tented camps of the late 1920’s. Guests will enjoy exceptional year round game viewing including the Big Five, as well as the dramatic arrival of the wildebeest migration every year.
SkySafari originally launched in Tanzania in 2010. Departing from Arusha, close to Kilimanjaro, the seven-night, eight-day journey takes travellers across Northern Tanzania’s most iconic locations, including Tarangire National Park, the Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti, with unique accommodations at four Elewana Collection lodges and camps.
