Courtyard Seattle Downtown/Lake Union wows guests with completion of $2m. renovation

Hotel in Seattle incorporates Seattle's style in reinvented lobby, restaurant and meeting rooms.

SEATTLE – Knowing comfortable guest rooms aren’t the only factors that go into a successful stay, Courtyard Seattle Downtown/Lake Union has stepped up its game with the completion of a $2 million renovation that focused on several public spaces.

Taking travel to new heights, one of the premier hotels in Downtown Seattle on the shore of South Lake Union has created a refreshing new way to relax and stay productive in style with a reinvented lobby, Market, restaurant/bar and meeting rooms. The hotel’s customized design matches its trendy Seattle surroundings, giving guests multi-purpose spaces for meetings, meals and me-time.

“Designing this new space truly required our team to get inside the minds of our guests,” said Sean O’Rourke, general manager of Courtyard Seattle Downtown/Lake Union. “We thought like a business traveler, a vacationer, and a family of five, and created a unique space with something for everyone.”

The new design gives a nod to the nautical, pays homage to history, and is inspired by the blues and greens of the Pacific Northwest. The new look is a warm take on industrial, with a mixture of natural and modern elements, and uses details from men’s suiting for refinement.

The new lobby floor plan is wide open with large windows and a vaulted glass ceiling which allow the Seattle sunshine to pour in. Travelers looking to catch up on work outside of their room will find the lobby’s new media pods and communal table are the perfect spots to stay connected. Comfortable couch seating, free Wi-Fi and flat-panel TVs are among the highlights in these reinvented spaces. A state-of-the-art, touch-screen GoBoard entices the tech-savvy traveler, offering the latest information on flights, weather, local attractions and news.

Breaking the walls on boring business as usual, the Lake Union hotel carries out the seamless blend of style and function in its reimagined meeting spaces. A new, Regatta View meeting room was added right off the lobby, complete with full windows, a built-in buffet behind stylish barn doors and creative catering options for mixing business with pleasure. Whether planning an intimate brainstorming session or smaller conference series, event planners can host up to 80 guests in the elegantly appointed room designed to inspire success.

When it comes to satisfying cravings, The Bistro – Eat. Drink. Connect. is the ideal spot for guests to indulge. Serving a variety of breakfast and dinner options, as well as specialty Starbucks beverages and evening cocktails, the stylish and unique eatery is perfect for feasts with family or cocktails with colleagues.

The 24-hour Market was also expanded in the renovation, and gives guests easy access to meals on the go or helps manage late-night munchies.
