Even more flights to Lapland for winter 2015 from Southampton Airport

Southampton Airport has launched even more flights to Finnish Lapland for 2015, increasing capacity by 300%, and seats are selling fast.

You may curse Southampton Airport for using the ‘C’ word in June, but there’s no better time to be thinking about next Christmas. The airport has launched even more flights to Finnish Lapland for 2015, increasing capacity by 300%, and seats are selling fast.

There are three different dates and options available and four separate flights. On Tuesday 8th December, those wanting a longer break can take a three day holiday to Lapland with Santa’s Lapland (Esprit Ski), flying into Ivalo airport. Day trippers can take advantage of the flights departing and returning on the same day to Enontekio; on Saturday 12th December there’s a Santa Day Trip with Transun and on Sunday 20th and Monday 21st December, Santa lovers can take a day trip with Canterbury Travel.

Children and adults will be able to ride snowmobiles through the soft snow and enjoy reindeer sleigh rides. Not to mention meeting Father Christmas himself… It’s time to start the countdown to Christmas!

Jan Halliday, Director of Marketing & Communications, said: “It must be every child’s dream to see Santa in Lapland and so this year we’re making it possible for even more families.  We’re delighted to be able to offer these additional flights from Southampton Airport which, particularly for the day trippers, will be a much more convenient alternative to the larger London airports.”
