NEWPORT BEACH, CALIF. – With the goal of transforming its lobby into a destination where guests can meet, mingle, relax, recharge and refuel in comfort, Newport Beach Marriott Bayview has completed renovations to offer a Greatroom experience.
Whether traveling on business or soaking up the California sunshine on vacation, guests will find the reimagined lobby space ideal for being productive or unwinding in style at the Newport Beach hotel. The Greatroom focuses on the desires of modern-day travelers by offering technology savvy and cozy spaces including an iPad wall, the stylish Vista.Kitchen.Bar that serves coffee by day and cocktails by night, sophisticated seating areas and an outdoor terrace.
“The goal of the renovation was to create a multi-functional space for all travelers to enjoy rather than just pass through on the way to our suites that are 50 percent larger than traditional hotel rooms,” said Melody Lanthorn-Gale, General Manager of Newport Beach Marriott Bayview. “We’re delighted to see our vision come to life and look forward to wowing our guests as they step into our new space.”
Meaningful technology is a focal point of the new Greatroom experience. The hotel near Huntington Beach aimed to make power more accessible for guests by adding built-in outlets and portable power units throughout the space while keeping them connected through stronger Wi-Fi. The iPad wall was installed to give travelers easy access to the latest news, weather and airport information.
Overlooking the scenic Upper Newport Bay Nature Preserve with a variety of pristine beaches nearby, the Newport Beach, CA hotel’s Greatroom features stunning decor that brings nature in. Guests will discover American cuisine with a modern twist at Vista.Kitchen.Bar. The stylish eatery incorporates flavor by introducing craft beers, seasonal and locally sourced menu items and design elements that evoke tranquility while inspiring creativity. Travelers can get a jump start on their day with a refreshing caffeinated beverage from the coffee bar, then settle into one of the cozy booths to read a good book, catch up on email or simply kick their feet up. In the evenings, the coffee bar transforms into a space for socializing and savoring custom-concocted cocktails with colleagues, clients and friends. Mouthwatering meals can top off the Greatroom experience and satisfy visitors every craving.
For a more relaxing place to socialize, guests can step into the Greatroom’s central seating area, complete with chic chairs and stylish, calming mood lighting. With plenty of flexible seating, business travelers have the space to spread out and stay focused or take their work to one of the convenient communal tables to collaborate.
Embracing California’s beautiful year-round weather, the all-suite Newport Beach hotel included in the renovation an elegant outdoor terrace off of the day/night bar. Featuring plush patio furniture and inviting fire pits, the relaxing atmosphere encourages travelers to take dining or working outdoors.
