Wyndham Hotel Group expands Super 8 brand in Brazil

Opens 100-room hotel in Rio Grande do Sul in expanding industrial city of Caxias do Sul.

CAXIAS DO SUL, BRAZIL – Wyndham Hotel Group announced the opening of Super 8 Caxias do Sul, developed with Brazilian-based company Latinn Hotels in partnership with local real-estate developer, Fisa Incorporadora.

The newly constructed 100-room hotel is located in Caxias do Sul, a city in Southern Brazil, famous for its unique fusion of Brazilian and European culture. The opening marks the third Super 8 hotel in Brazil, where the company is focused on fulfilling the growing demand for mid-scale and economy hotels through strategic local partnerships.

Super 8 Caxias do Sul features 100 guestrooms equipped with a 32-inch flat screen HDTV, a mini refrigerator and an electronic safe. Guests can enjoy free high-speed Internet access, complimentary SuperStart breakfast, free parking and a 24-hour mini mart.

Super 8 is one of the world’s most well-known hotel chains with over 2,500 locations around the globe, more than any other economy lodging provider. The brand was founded in the United States in 1974 and last year, celebrated its 40th anniversary. Most hotels offer an array of complimentary amenities including free Wi-Fi, a free SuperStart continental breakfast and the opportunity to earn and redeem points through Wyndham Rewards, the brand’s guest loyalty program.

In Latin America and the Caribbean, Wyndham Hotel Group has a total of 141 hotels and 16,565 rooms under its Super 8, Wyndham Hotels and Resorts, Ramada, Ramada Encore, Days Inn, Wingate by Wyndham, Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham, TRYP by Wyndham and Howard Johnson brands.
