CCRA announces plans to significantly overhaul its CCRATravel.com hotel booking engine

The winter 2015/16 re-launch of the hotel engine will still offer the same CCRA rate categories and commissionable booking options and will remain free for qualified travel agents to use, but it will also feature state-of-the-art reservations and booking technology.

FORT WORTH, TEXAS – CCRA Travel Commerce Network – a global hub for travel technology, marketing, accreditation and education – announced plans to overhaul the look, functionality and user experience of its proprietary CCRATravel.com hotel booking engine for travel professionals, scheduled to re-launch in Winter 2015/16. The new and improved booking engine is part of CCRA’s continued commitment to help travel professionals earn higher commissions while providing their clients with some of the best hotel rates and added value offers available. Additionally, CCRA has reinforced their industry promise to never directly sell or market its hotel inventory to consumers.

CCRATravel.com currently provides individual travel professionals and travel agencies with access to real-time inventory at over 180,000 hotels worldwide, and the ability to select from a variety of different rate categories on a single search. The winter 2015/16 re-launch of the hotel engine will still offer the same CCRA rate categories and commissionable booking options and will remain free for qualified travel agents to use, but it will also feature state-of-the-art reservations and booking technology and will be enhanced in the following ways:

  • New image-centric and modern look
  • Richer hotel descriptions and direct access to traveler reviews
  • Easy to read at-a-glance information – including hotel rates, commissions and best value offers
  • Faster navigation and improved hotel sorting capabilities
  • New mapping features – to quickly identify property locations in relation to points of interest
  • An increased hotel inventory as CCRA’s preferred hotel partners continue to grow
  • More flexible payment options
  • Continued offering of extensive customer support and regular portal training sessions.

“We have designed the new CCRATravel.com site to feature a completely new and modernized look, improved navigation and filtering options to help travel agents find hotels that are offering the best value for their clients, in a more streamlined and timely fashion” said Dic Marxen, President and CEO of CCRA. “Unlike other hotel consortia, we are also pledging to protect travel agency revenue by guaranteeing that we will never offer our hotel content direct to consumers. CCRA remains committed to helping the travel agent community earn competitive commissions while ensuring their clients receive the best supplier offers available, at an increasing number of both niche and brand-name properties across the globe.”

Qualified independent travel agents and travel agencies can register to use CCRA’s hotel booking engine for free, by visiting CCRATravel.com. Signup will also grant early announcements and information about the release of the new booking engine. Travel professionals must have one of the following travel agency IDs in order to register: TRUE, CLIA, IATA, ARC, TIDS, or ARC MarketPlace ID.
