TravelStore returns to Travelport and signs new multi-year agreement for Europe and Africa

This new deal means that TravelStore will use Travelport’s award-winning agency point of sale solution, Travelport Smartpoint, to provide it with access to unrivalled travel content, including branded fares and ancillaries from the world’s leading low cost and national carriers, as well as access to over 650,000 individual hotel properties.
Travelport, a leading Travel Commerce Platform, announces that the global travel agency, TravelStore, has returned as its customer after six years and has signed a new, multi-year agreement for its business in Portugal, Spain, Angola and Mozambique. TravelStore has recognized the significant investment Travelport has made in its Travel Commerce Platform, adding extensive new content and introducing new, customer-centric products and technologies.
 
Established in 2000, TravelStore is an award-winning travel agency offering both leisure and business travel solutions; it is also a representative for American Express’ travel management business in Portugal, Angola and Mozambique.
 
This new deal means that TravelStore will use Travelport’s award-winning agency point of sale solution, Travelport Smartpoint, to provide it with access to unrivalled travel content, including branded fares and ancillaries from the world’s leading low cost and national carriers, as well as access to over 650,000 individual hotel properties in what is believed to be the largest hotel property inventory of any B2B travel distribution business in the world.

Hahn Air Lines signs up to Travelport Rich Content and Branding 
Travelport has also announced that Hahn Air Lines is the latest carrier to sign up to its innovative airline merchandising technology, Travelport Rich Content and Branding, that enables airlines to market and retail their products more effectively to travel agents. This means that Travelport connected agents globally will now have access to Hahn Air Lines’ flight content.
 
Hahn Air Lines, the scheduled airline based in Dusseldorf Airport, joins over 100 airlines that have signed up to Travelport Rich Content and Branding which includes richer product descriptions and graphics, ancillary products and branded fares, all bookable through Travelport’s point of sale solution, Travelport Smartpoint.

Travel agents now have the tools to present and better explain our products to their customers, including the luxurious interior of our Cessna Citation CJ4. Travelport signs agreement with UNISTER Travel
Travelport, has announced a new agreement with UNISTER Travel, the leading provider of online travel services in Germany. UNISTER Travel operates a number of high-profile online travel portals in Germany, with brands such as Ab-In-Den-Urlaub.de, Ab-In-Den-Urlaub-Deals.de, Fluege.de and Reisen.de which together attract over 10 million unique users per month.
 
Under the new agreement, UNISTER Travel’s customers will now be able to access Travelport’s unrivalled travel content from, for example, the world’s leading national and low cost carriers. UNISTER Travel will take advantage of Travelport’s ground-breaking Universal API, giving them the flexibility to design customised user interfaces for their travel portals. It will also make use of Travelport’s Rapid Reprice product for more efficient ticket re-issuing and its Search Control Console product to tailor the relevancy of search results to traveler needs. 
 
The news is another positive step forward for Travelport as it continues to grow its reputation and presence in the German travel industry, Europe’s largest, and comes on the back of other high-profile deals concluded earlier this year including the acquisition of German tour operator distribution company, travel-IT.
