NOVUM Hotel Group takes over the Winters Hotel Company

NOVUM Hotel Group has finalized their biggest deal to date with the acquisition of the Winters Hotel Company in July 2015. The six hotels join the constantly growing portfolio of the Hamburg based hotel group.

HAMBURG – The NOVUM Hotel Group, one of the leading hotel groups in Germany, and the Winters Hotel Company have finally reached an agreement for a full share transfer, a deal that was in progress since the beginning of 2015. Through the merger, the NOVUM Hotel Group now operates 55 hotels with over 4,400 hotel rooms across Germany.

“This transaction marks a milestone in our company’s history and follows our goal of further expanding the NOVUM Hotel Group into one of the biggest hotel groups in Germany“, says David Etmenan, managing partner of the NOVUM Hotel Group.

The Winters Hotel Company, which was previously privately owned as well, offers a stable and high quality hotel portfolio in prominent locations in Berlin, Munich and Frankfurt/Offenbach am Main.

“With this takeover we secured ourselves a portfolio of modern, 4-star hotels in locations that simply can’t be found anymore, like for example directly at Checkpoint Charlie, the Gendarmenmarkt in Berlin-Mitte or across the Munich central station. Furthermore, the items are already well established in the market and the current corporate structure of the Winters Hotel Company coincides wonderfully with our corporate philosophy“, adds David Etmenan.

The NOVUM Hotel Group wants to continue with its strategy of a sustained expansion to keep its hotel portfolio growing.
