ALHI vastly expands its global alliance portfolio In Europe, the Middle East and Asia

Associated Luxury Hotels International adds Kempinski Hotels with 76 luxury-level hotels and resorts.

WASHINGTON, DC – Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI) has expanded its worldwide portfolio with the addition of 76 magnificent Four- and Five-Diamond quality-level hotels and resorts located outside of North America. The hotels and resorts, all owned and/or operated by highly-respected Kempinski Hotels, are situated in 31 countries outside of the U.S., with 17 hotels in Western Europe, 13 hotels in Eastern Europe, 26 hotels in Asia, 10 hotels in Africa, and 10 hotels in the Middle East.

The strategic addition to the ALHI Global Sales Organization (GSO) helps address the growing demand for international Meeting & Incentive (M&I) programs, as these hotels and resorts are now represented by ALHI (alhi.com) to North American meeting professionals, incentive specialists and business executives interested in conducting meetings and/or incentive programs. The addition of these properties brings ALHI’s portfolio to over 250 luxury-level (Four- and Five-Diamond quality) hotels and resorts around the world, which all specifically serve the Meetings & Incentive marketplace. ALHI’s portfolio now features more than 100 international options in 44 countries, some of the world’s best Destination Management Companies (DMCs) in 65 countries, plus a variety of 23 luxury-level cruise ships (Norwegian Cruise Line, Regent Seven Seas Cruises and Oceania Cruises), to complement its extraordinary portfolio in the U.S., in order to best serve its Accounts with an impressive variety of solutions around the world. The announcement was made jointly by ALHI CEO David Gabri and ALHI President Jim Schultenover.

Examples of the special charm of each hotel reflecting its cultural environment include the Hotel Adlon Kempinski opposite the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin, the majestic Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi, the Ciragan Palace Kempinski in Istanbul (the palace of the last Ottoman ruler), and the Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok (the former summer palace of King Mongkuk, who was the protagonist in the story and film “The King and I”).

The 17 Kempinski hotel additions to ALHI’s GSO portfolio in Western Europe are located in Austria, Germany, Malta, Spain, and Switzerland. The 13 Eastern Europe hotel additions are situated in Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary, Lithuania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Turkey. The 10 hotels in the Middle East are located in Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and United Arab Emirates (UAE). The 26 hotels in Asia are situated in China, India, Indonesia, Mongolia, Myanmar, and Thailand.

Many of the 76 Kempinski hotels and resorts also will become new options in ALHI’s “Level 5 Collection” luxury brand segment, which consists of the creme de la creme of luxury hotels, which have received the highest and most celebrated honors, including the Five-Diamond Award, Five-Star Award, and similar status.
