Season of Norwegian sets sail in the UK & Ireland

Three ships, 9 regional ports, 10 dates, hundreds of opportunities to engage with Norwegian.

Norwegian Cruise Line has launched the Season of Norwegian in the UK & Ireland, offering travel trade partners the unique opportunity to engage with Norwegian in the next generation of its pioneering Try Before you Buy initiative.

Under Partners First, trade partners will be able to take advantage of a total of 10 ship visit opportunities across 10 dates throughout September and October 2015. Norwegian Star will call at eight regional UK ports during her British Isles itinerary, whilst Norwegian Epic will showcase her new features in a visit Southampton before embarking on an Iberian Peninsula itinerary to Barcelona, and Norwegian Escape will be launched to the UK market in Southampton as part of her inaugural celebrations.

As part of the Try Before you Buy programme, Travel partners are invited to showcase some of the ships within Norwegian’s fleet to customers; bringing them on board for the ship visits*. Included in their Norwegian experience, visitors will have the chance to meet the sales team, tour the ship, and enjoy a four-course lunch in one of the main restaurants on board. Customers can take a look at Norwegian Star before she sails year-round in Europe in 2016, be the first to see Norwegian Epic after her return from dry-dock with new on board entertainment features, or experience the latest in Norwegian’s fleet with the arrival of Norwegian Escape.

Ship visit opportunities are available at the following ports and dates:

  • Norwegian Star – Portland – 27 September 2015
  • Norwegian Star – Falmouth – 28 September 2015
  • Norwegian Star – Cork, Ireland – 29 September 2015
  • Norwegian Star – Dublin, Ireland – 30 September 2015
  • Norwegian Star – Belfast, N. Ireland – 1 October 2015
  • Norwegian Star – Inverness, Scotland – 3 October 2015
  • Norwegian Star – Edinburgh, Scotland – 4 October 2015
  • Norwegian Star – Dover – 6 October 2015
  • Norwegian Epic – Southampton – 19 October 2015
  • Norwegian Escape – Southampton – 29 October 2015

Christian Boell, Managing Director EMEA, said: “We are delighted to be launching the Season of Norwegian and revealing the incredible opportunities for our travel partners to bring their customers on board this autumn. After introducing the Try Before you Buy initiative at the Norwegian Getaway inaugural in January 2014, we knew that it was something that we wanted to make bigger and better. And, having three ships in the UK in September and October presented the perfect opportunity.

“We hope that our travel partners can take advantage of this unique opportunity to showcase Norwegian to their customers and look forward to welcoming them and their guests on board very soon.”

And to celebrate the Season of Norwegian, Norwegian are making a bumper incentive offer for its MoneyCard members where they can earn more on the following cruise bookings.

From 17 September – 31 October earn:

  • £10 all 2015 gross bookings
  • £20 all 2016 gross bookings
  • £30 all 2016 gross Fly-cruise bookings

*subject to availability, runs on a first come, first served basis.
