Tourico Holidays enters Eastern Mediterranean market

Following customer interest in the Eastern Mediterranean, Tourico Holidays has committed to entering these markets for the first time and is preparing for rapid growth.

ORLANDO, Florida – Tourico Holidays is entering the Eastern Mediterranean vacation destinations for the very first time. Stephen Moffett was hired to lead the initiative as Regional Director for the Greek Islands, Turkey’s Mediterranean coast, Malta, Cyprus, Croatia, and Montenegro.

Following customer interest in the Eastern Mediterranean, Tourico Holidays has committed to entering these markets for the first time and is preparing for rapid growth. Neil Emerson, Senior Vice President of Global Product at Tourico, sees the appointment of a new Regional Director as an important first step. “We see vast untapped potential for these destinations,” he said. “A director who focuses exclusively on these new regions will bring many benefits to both our customers and our suppliers.

One of his new goals as Regional Director at Tourico Holidays is to contract at least 10 hotels on each Greek Island by end of October. He also aims to acquire an excellent portfolio of hotels in Malta and Cyprus as good winter sun destinations.

The new Product Director is excited about his role as head of the “Sun, Sand, and Sea” team. “I’m looking forward to being a mentor to my team and helping them to be the best at their positions. I want to make sure my region’s voice is heard… and I know my team will be shouting with me,” said Moffett.

Tourico Holidays plans to offer ExclusiveDeals in the new markets, which provide pre-purchased hotel room blocks. This form of booking enables flexible terms and rate structures, guarantees a monthly income stream, provides for incremental business, and includes complementary marketing. Tourico Holidays was the first global distributor to pioneer this type of contracting.
