Qatar Airways partners with booking.com and rentalcars.com

Privilege Club members can earn Qmiles for every hotel and car rental booking. Passengers to benefit from competitively priced hotel rooms and car rentals when booking a flight.

DOHA, QATAR – Qatar Airways has announced new partnerships with Booking.com and Rentalcars.com, providing its passengers with an easy and cost-effective way to access competitively priced places to stay and car rentals when booking their flights via the Qatar Airways website.

Under the partnerships, Qatar Airways’ passengers can book and pay online for accommodation at over 800,000 properties in nearly 83,000 exciting destinations, and rent from more than 40,000 car rental locations in 167 countries. This also provides the airline’s Frequent Flyer Programme Privilege Club members the opportunity to earn Qmiles for every hotel room and car rental booking made through the website.

“Qatar Airways is excited to have partnered with booking.com and rentalcars.com, both among the world’s leading booking platforms for travellers,” said the airline’s Chief Commercial Officer, Mr. Hugh Dunleavy.

Qatar Airways has a new customer-focused, interactive website, designed for a seamless user-friendly experience. The website ensures rapid, easy and intuitive navigation through various modules, making booking with Qatar Airways effortless. In addition to updating themselves on their current flight status, passengers can also select additional services from the various value-for-money offers Qatar Airways has with hotel and car partners and even book a holiday package.

Qatar Airways wins Best Airline, Best Business Class Airline and Best Middle Eastern Airline at Business Traveller Awards
Qatar Airways won a trio of awards at the 2015 Business Traveller Awards held in London at the Royal Garden Hotel on 12th October.

The airline’s renowned high quality service was once again recognised as Qatar Airways picked up the awards for Best Airline, Best Business Class Airline and Best Middle Eastern Airline categories, while the oneworld airline alliance, of which Qatar Airways has been a member since 2013, won Best Airline Alliance.

The Business Traveller Awards are voted for by readers of the magazine with the results authenticated by an independent auditing company and are widely recognised as the airline industry’s benchmark for excellence. Readers base their voting on the strength of the airline’s customer service, its route network and services.

Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker said: “This marks the third year that Qatar Airways has received the Best Business Class Airline award and we are both delighted and proud to have now also won Best Airline and Best Middle Eastern Airline. These awards are a reflection of our continuing commitment to provide our passengers with an industry leading service and innovative product throughout their journey”.

Qatar Airways was also recently recognised as one of the leading airlines in the world at the UK Conde Nast Traveller ‘Readers Travel Awards’. The airline was awarded the ‘Best For Business’ accolade and runner-up as the readers’ choice for ‘Leisure Long Haul Travel’.

The airline also received the Airline of the Year, Best Business Class Airline Seat and Best Airline in the Middle East at the 2015 Skytrax Awards. This is the third time the airline has won the accolade of Airline of the Year.

Qatar Airways is the global launch customer for the Airbus A350 XWB. Featuring the very latest in aerodynamics, design and advanced technologies, this highly efficient aircraft provides better fuel efficiency and features, with 36 Business Class seats in a 1-2-1 configuration and 247 Economy Class seats.

In 2014, the airline also welcomed the bespoke A380 aircraft into its fleet, as well as relocating to the new state-of-the-art hub, Hamad International Airport. The A380 aircraft feature a tri-class configuration of First, Business and Economy Class seating over two decks, designed to offer the airline’s signature service with outstanding in-flight entertainment and service on board.

Qatar Airways is one of the fastest growing airlines operating one of the youngest fleets in the world. Now in its 18th year of operations, Qatar Airways has a modern fleet of 166 aircraft flying to 152 key business and leisure destinations across six continents.
