Star-studded event sees ship sail from Southampton.
Norwegian Cruise Line has launched its newest ship Norwegian Escape to the UK market at an inaugural on-board event held in Southampton on the 28 October 2015.
Norwegian Escape is the first ship in the company’s new Breakaway Plus Class, signifying an evolution of Norwegian Cruise Line and bringing to life the brand’s promise of freedom and flexibility with a premium experience from bow to stern.
To launch the 14th member of its fleet, Norwegian invited 500 travel partners and 2500 potential customers on board as part of Norwegian’s “Try Before you Buy” initiative. Norwegian also invited over 150 key media partners and over 100 service providers to the celebration event. Among the guests were celebrities Helen Skelton and Louie Spence who formed part of the Escape Squad – a handpicked group of celebrities, bloggers and a travel partner to represent each element of the Freestyle Cruising experience.

We look forward to welcoming guests onto her first sailing in the Eastern Caribbean from Miami very soon.”
Louie Spence said, “I have had the most fabulous day at the UK inaugural for Norwegian Escape. I have met wonderful people and can’t believe the incredible facilities on the ship including the amazing theatre. I’ve cruised before but nothing like this – I’m coming back!!”
