SAS will begin flying to Tallinn from Stockholm, Oslo, and Copenhagen from next week.
Following Estonian Air’s announcement that they cease their operations, SAS has reacted and will begin flying between the three Scandinavian capitals and Tallinn. This means daily flights between the cities, ensuring that travelers in Scandinavia have continued good flight connections to Estonia. Thanks to SAS’s new direct routes Estonian travelers easily get access to Scandinavia and the rest of the world.
“Tallinn is a destination with a high proportion of frequent travelers and is also a popular holiday getaway. We therefore decided to act quickly, as Tallinn is a large and important destination in our region. Scandinavia also occupies a geographically advantageous location for shuttle services to and from Estonia,” says Eivind Roald, Executive Vice President Commercial at SAS.
SAS plans to fly:
- Stockholm – Tallinn: 4 times per day in each direction
- Copenhagen – Tallinn: 3 times per day in each direction
- Oslo – Tallinn: 1 flight per day in each direction

SAS is opening two new routes from Miami
Also, Scandinavian Airlines is opening for sales of tickets to two new Scandinavian destinations from Miami. The routes to Norway’s capital Oslo and to Denmark’s capital Copenhagen will be served four and three times a week respectively and thus offering 190,000 seats yearly to and from Miami and Scandinavia.
SAS is the first airline to serve Miami International Airport with direct routes to Oslo and Copenhagen with first flight to Copenhagen on September 28 and to Oslo September 29 2016. The year round routes will be served with an Airbus 330-300 redesigned with completely new and ultra modern cabins. Departures to Copenhagen are three times weekly Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, and departures to Oslo are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The direct routes are strengthening SAS’ offer between US and Scandinavia; in 2016 SAS will offer 6,600 flights between the regions which is a total of 1.75 million seats – whereof 190,000 seats are offered between Miami and the two Scandinavian capitals.

Besides Oslo and Copenhagen to Miami, SAS launches nonstop service from Los Angeles to Stockholm on March 14, and from Boston to Copenhagen on March 29.
