Greyhound celebrates fifth anniversary of Greyhound Express

Since the service launched five years ago, Greyhound Express has transported nearly 21 million customers and expanded to 135 markets in the United States and Canada, with more than 1,000 available city pairs.

DALLAS – Greyhound celebrated the fifth anniversary of its popular direct service between major cities, Greyhound Express. Since the service launched five years ago, Greyhound Express has transported nearly 21 million customers and expanded to 135 markets in the United States and Canada, with more than 1,000 available city pairs. The service that began in Chicago on Dec. 1, 2010 has become known for its unbeatable prices, premium amenities and faster trips between cities.

“We’re excited about reaching this milestone and celebrating five years of providing exceptional Express service to nearly 21 million customers,” said Andy Kaplinsky, chief commercial officer, Greyhound Lines, Inc. “We recognized the demand for a quality service that allows customers to get places faster at the lowest fares, and Greyhound Express provides that. Not only are customers able to save time and money, they also have convenient and easy access to major markets with connections to thousands of other destinations across North America. Nobody else has this kind of network.”

On Greyhound Express, customers travel on modern buses equipped with features such as free Wi-Fi, power outlets, leather seats, extra legroom, guaranteed seating, wheelchair lifts and on-board restrooms. And just in time for the holidays, traveling on Greyhound Express is even easier with the introduction of new travel tools, including Greyhound’s new, more user-friendly website that makes searching and booking Express trips quick and seamless. Built from the ground up, the new website centers on customers’ needs and interests, and features a fresh, modern design and simple navigation.

In addition, BusTracker, which launched earlier this year, allows customers to pin-point the location of their bus and provide real-time information about whether their bus is early, on time or delayed. And with the company’s new partnership with Parking Panda, the nation’s leading provider for on-demand parking, customers have the ability to explore, compare and reserve a parking spot near the Greyhound station even before arriving.

Customers can buy a Greyhound Express ticket online at greyhound.com, use the book on-line/pay with cash service, print their ticket at home or pick it up at a self-service ticketing kiosk. Additionally, Express customers can relax in private waiting areas, protected from the elements in a secure environment, with a dedicated guest services specialist to provide an extra level of customer assistance.
