The specialist broadcast agency was working in collaboration with the leading global event for the travel industry for a third time and it has also been revealed that they will continue this partnership for the 2016 event.

4mediarelations has revealed that it secured 310 items of radio, TV and online coverage as the official radio partner of November’s World Travel Market London 2015, including coverage on BBC Radio 2, Radio 4, Radio 5 Live, London Live TV and Absolute Radio.

The specialist broadcast agency was working in collaboration with the leading global event for the travel industry for a third time and it has also been revealed that they will continue this partnership for the 2016 event.

Organisations that benefitted from 4mediarelations’s broadcast PR expertise included Visit Flanders to the Trinidad & Tobago Tourist Board, with celebrity spokespeople such as Team GB Olympic gold medallist Daley Thompson and the Indian Minister of Tourism, Dr Mahesh Sharma broadcasting live from the on-site studio to stations all over the UK.

The four-day event ran from 2nd to the 5th November at ExCel – London, and provided an opportunity for the travel industry to meet, network and conduct business all under one roof. More than 1.1 million business meetings took place over the four days with deals worth more than £2.5 billion agreed.

WTM London Campaign Director, Darren Ryan from 4mediarelations said: “We are extremely pleased to have secured the levels of editorial radio coverage we did for World Travel Market London 2015 and are delighted to be selected as the official radio supplier again for WTM London 2016. The last event was a huge success which built on the success we achieved in 2012 and 2013 and we are excited to continue this excellent partnership. Working alongside the team at WTM London, our ultimate goal again this year is to maximise the radio broadcast opportunities that exist for all exhibitors during the three day event this year.”

World Travel Market London is now in its 37th year, around 50,000 senior travel industry professionals, government ministers and international press are expected to meet at ExCel to discover and discuss the latest industry trends.

4mediarelations will be once again installing two ISDN studios on-site during the three day event where they will be facilitating live and pre-record broadcast interviews.  Exhibitors will be able to link up with broadcast journalists across the UK, while PR agencies for travel companies will be able to arrange high quality radio interviews with the media there and then. 4mediarelations are also organising radio days with participants in advance of the event.

World Travel Market London Paul Nelson Press & PR Manager said: “We selected 4medirelations again as our official radio partner mainly because of their vast experience in the travel sector and previous radio support at WTM London 2012, 2013 and last year’s highly-successful event. Their dedicated team will ensure WTM exhibitors truly get the most out of WTM London 2016. We look forward to working with 4mediarelations again over the next few months and hope for a successful and fruitful WTM London 2016.”
