Courtyard New Orleans Downtown/Convention Center upgrades accommodations with $2m. renovation

Hotel near New Orleans convention center completes improvements to guest rooms and suites.

NEW ORLEANS – Under the direction of new General Manager Jerry Robinson, Courtyard New Orleans Downtown/Convention Center has completed a $2 million renovation to its guest rooms and suites.

Select spaces highlight the building’s rich history as a former molasses factory with exposed brick and tall cathedral ceilings. Guests can choose rooms or suites with queen, full or king-size beds. King guest rooms and suites boast a cozy couch, where guests can unwind after a long day and enjoy their favorite programs on flat-panel TVs with premium cable and movie channels.

Blending old and new, the unique accommodations feature an array of modern conveniences that cater to the desires of today’s traveler. In each guest room and suite, guests enjoy space to live, work and dream in style. On-the-go business travelers can take advantage of large work desks with ergonomic chairs and plenty of power outlets in addition to complimentary wireless Internet access.

Guest rooms also feature thoughtful lighting features, mini refrigerators and coffee makers. The hotel’s spacious bathrooms have been updated with granite countertops and now boast deluxe bath amenities to keep visitors refreshed while away from home.

A newly renovated hospitality suite serves as an ideal private space for small group gatherings and features a separate bedroom with a king-size bed, flat-panel TV and bathroom for added convenience. Visitors are invited to host group events at the hotel, then slip into Marriott’s plush bedding with cozy comforters, luxurious linens and piles of fluffy pillows.

The recent renovations complement the hotel’s unique meeting spaces with 3,873 square feet. Whether planning a board meeting, team training session or corporate celebration, the hotel can accommodate groups of up to 120 guests for productive events with the help of professional planners. On-site catering services and audiovisual equipment are available to raise events to the next level. Attendees can conveniently dine at The Bistro, the hotel’s restaurant, for breakfast or dinner before or after an event.
