bmi regional plans growth in France and Italy with appointment opf new Sales Manager

Hailing from France, Fabrice, 33, will be taking on responsibility for driving sales on routes in and out of France and Italy.

bmi regional is pursuing a growth strategy in France and Italy, with the appointment of Fabrice Binet as sales manager for the two countries.

This move is also motivated by bmi regional’s efforts to focus on customer engagement and tailor the product offering to a far greater extent for clients across its UK and European markets.

Hailing from France, Fabrice, 33, will be taking on responsibility for driving sales on routes in and out of France and Italy. bmi regional has established routes to both countries, out of Bristol and currently serves the key commercial and strategic destinations of Paris and Milan from the UK with inter-European routes to Toulouse and Bremen.

Fabrice brings existing knowledge of bmi regional having worked for the airline since 2014 in roles which have seen him develop partnerships within Europe, including managing the  commercial set-up of the bmi regional Munich hub in collaboration with codeshare partner Lufthansa.  Prior to joining bmi regional, Fabrice had held commercial positions in airport consultancies as well as management positions with regional airlines in Australia.

Given Fabrice’s extensive background in business development, he will also retain the role of Business Development Manager with bmi regional, a critical position in maintaining the company’s “grass-root effort” to develop attractive business markets.

bmi regional Chief Commercial Officer Jochen Schnadt said: “Fabrice’s appointment comes at a key time for bmi regional, with France and Italy being two areas we’re keen to develop in 2016 and beyond.

“Fabrice has already worked for bmi regional for two years, meaning he can get straight to business in developing our key corporate relationships and network in both countries. In addition, I am delighted that Fabrice will continue to contribute to the company’s on-going business development.”

Fabrice said: “I’m very proud to have an opportunity to work in ensuring continual growth and expansion of bmi regional. It’s an airline that has a strong reputation for quality, comfort, reliability and punctuality all of which are values I hold strong. I look forward to developing our business in France and Italy and utilising my negotiation, contracting and language skills.”

bmi regional’s all-jet fleet operates routes from Bristol to Paris and Milan plus a route between Toulouse and Bremen.  The airline flies to a total of 22 destinations across 11 countries within the UK and Europe, with more than 300 scheduled flights per week.
