Anguilla Tourist Board welcomed daily Liat flight

The flights will be operated by Caribbean Helicopters, which operates a fleet of prop airplanes. All flights will carry LIAT flight codes.

The Anguilla Tourist Board welcomed the announcement by Caribbean airline Liat that it is to re-introduce a daily service to the island from Antigua, effective 12 February 2016.

Carolyn Brown, Director UK & Ireland for the Anguilla Tourist Board, commented: “This is great news for discerning UK travellers who yearn to discover the real Caribbean in authentic Anguilla, with its glorious beaches, laid back lifestyle and excellent restaurant scene.”

“The 45-minute flight from Antigua means a short – but picture-perfect – hop to one of the Caribbean’s best-kept secrets.”

Each service will accommodate seven passengers with one piece of checked baggage per person. The permitted combined weight for checked baggage and hand baggage is no more than 23 kgs.

Flight LI 8181 will depart Antigua at 10:30am on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, arriving into Anguilla at11:15am. The return flight, LI 8102, will depart Anguilla at 11:35am, arriving Antigua at 12:20am.

On Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays, flight LI 8107 will depart Antigua at 5:05pm, arriving Anguilla at5:50pm. Return flight LI 8108 will depart Anguilla at 6:10pm, arriving Antigua at 6:55pm.

Caribbean Helicopters operates a fleet of Piper Navajo Chieftain PA31-350 and Britten Norman BN2 aircraft, which are ideal for services into some of the smaller Caribbean islands.
