The Government of Croatia announced that 8.07 million tourists visited Croatia during the first 10 months of 2002 a 6% increase over the same period in 2001. Overnight stays increased by 3%. German, French, Israeli, and British arrivals increased by 14%, 83%, 44%, and 24%, respectively.





The Croatian Privatization Fund (CPF) is planning to tender more than 20 tourism assets from the state portfolio in the next six months. Tourism represents one of the most competitive sectors of the Croatian economy.
