SN Brussels the most punctual airlines
In 2005 SN Brussels Airlines reinforced its reputation as one of the most punctual airlines in Europe. According to the official statistics, 86 percent of all SN flights took off on time which is nearly 8 percent points better than the European average. This puts SN second in the punctuality list of European airlines.

From January till December 2005, 86 percent of all SN flights left within 15 minutes of the scheduled departure time, a margin which the Association of European Airlines (AEA) considers as the official punctuality margin for all full service airlines. 84.7 percent of all SN flights arrived on time. With this result SN Brussels Airlines performs remarkably better than other European full service airlines. According to the AEA statistics, the European average was 78.1 percent (departures) and 77.2 percent (arrivals).

These results again rank SN Brussels Airlines in the top 3 of the most punctual European airlines. Over the last years SN has permanently been present in this top 3. SN hereby maintains its reputation as an exceptionally punctual European airline despite some negative external factors such as the growth of air traffic and the runway works at Brussels airport.

Important to know is that it is compulsory for all AEA member airlines - nearly all major full service airlines in Europe - to apply the same rules in calculating and ranking punctuality figures.

Research shows that along with flight safety, reliability and service, punctuality is ranked very high in the customer opinion polls. On-time departures and arrivals are extremely important, not only for business passengers, but also for passengers who have an onwards connection in Brussels.

SN is dedicated to delivering the highest punctuality standards and the airline’s coordination centre which monitors flights 24/24 in coordination with air traffic control does everything possible to avoid delays. Vicky Karantzavelou - Tuesday, February 14, 2006
