Continental Airlines inaugurated daily service to Cologne/Bonn
Continental Airlines yesterday inaugurated daily non-stop flights between its hub at Newark Liberty International Airport and Cologne/Bonn, Germany. This will be the only scheduled nonstop transatlantic service between the U.S. to the two German cities.

Starting service to Cologne/Bonn is another important step in the expansion of our transatlantic network, said Jim Summerford, Continental`s vice president Europe, Middle East and India. This route gives our customers a choice of four Continental destinations in Germany, including our existing service to Berlin, Frankfurt and Hamburg.

Later this month, Continental will add daily non-stop service to Barcelona and Copenhagen, bringing to 28 the number of transatlantic destinations served via Newark Liberty.

Service to Cologne/Bonn will be operated with a 172-seat Boeing 757-200 aircraft, carrying 16 passengers in the BusinessFirst cabin and 156 in economy. Vicky Karantzavelou - Thursday, May 11, 2006
