Germanwings on the rise also in April 2006
The upward course of Germanwings was continued impressively also in April 2006. The German low-cost airline carried in total 592,622 passengers last month, compared with 403,863 passengers in April 2005, an increase translated into 46.7%. On the rise was also the seat-load factor of the aircraft that reached in April 83.1%, increased by 3.5% compared to the same period last year (79.6% in April 2005).

The increase of the number of passengers was in line with our expectations, stated Dr. Joachim Klein, Chairman of the Directory Board of Germanwings. We managed to sell successfully to the market our increased offer. In comparison with the same month last year and in spite of the difficult economic environment, we were in a position to further increase the seat load factor of our flights by 3.5%.
