MIG promotes Mediterranean region to tour operators worldwide
There is something new at the next TTG Incontri taking place in Rimini 20-22 October. For the first time MIG - Mediterranean Incoming Group for the joint promotion of the Mediterranean travel offer is presented in an experimental space.

MIG offers a wide range of activities that include press actions, trade fairs, promotional campaigns and joint marketing actions, developed for the special needs of the Mediterranean travel market. Important tour operators have already joined MIG: Atlas Tours (Syria), Lawrence Tours (Israel), Sylvia Tours Egypt, Italian Express Tourist Service/IETS (Egypt). Others have already expressed their interest: Rida International and Nakhal Tours (Lebanon), Boutros Tours (Greece), Mantovani Plotin (Cyprus), Marveltour (Turkey), International Traders (Jordan) and the Jordan Inbound Tour Operator Association, representing 12 companies.

MIG’s leader, Vittorio Russo, is an expert on Mediterranean tourism and organized travels to Egypt and the Middle East, as well as the founder of Rallo Viaggi tour operator: “By now 25% of the world tourism involves the Mediterranean basin and the annual increase rate is about 5%: we can no longer face this market superficially. We think that by working side by side with local operators, building a system of relations and visibility both integrated and managed with the most modern technologies and marketing techniques, we can obtain a more extensive offer, with big scale economies and excellent guarantees of reliability. Not only do these operators rely on us to place their travel facilities, but they also ask us to work together for the definition of the products and their company strategies.”

The MIG group offers special guarantees in this sense: “Integrating the communication we can optimise the investments budgeted by each operator, because actually the operators adhering to MIG are not competitors, but rather, the markets they represent are of interest for the same customers at different times. And Vittorio Russo focuses his attention on this: “We can finally provide the same standards in big numbers and guarantee the quality of the offer, in a market bursting with demand but also with offers. Our network, by putting the operators side by side everyday, unifies the offer and guarantees quality.”

MIG operates through a network of travel professionals, who can especially support the Mediterranean companies and present them to the European market.

“Nowadays MIG is the only organization that can work in an integrated way to introduce a Mediterranean operator in the European market: we check the structures, optimise travel packages, manage the promotional campaign, the advertising materials, the press, the relations with travel agencies, tour operators and institutions.” Michael Verikios - Thursday, October 12, 2006
