The Travel Institute introduces new online training
The Travel Institute launched its new e-learning center, where all travel professionals will have access to training 24/7. The new e-learning center addresses the training needs of both travel sellers and suppliers. The Travel Institute will be converting its own courses to the online format as well as presenting other supplier and destination programs. All new online training programs will be developed in conjunction with the Institute’s curriculum specialists and subject matter experts in order to maintain the quality and standards they are known for.

“The Travel Institute has been the gold standard in producing educational programs and courses for the past 42 years. We are very excited to provide the same quality and standard on our online platform” says Maureen Kennedy, executive vice president and general manager.

According to Pat Gagnon, CTC, director of program development, “The e-learning center is a fresh way for The Travel Institute to meet the needs of many of today’s learners.” Gagnon added that “we have been very encouraged by the number of suppliers and destinations who have contacted us to convert their training to our online platform.”

The courses currently available in The Travel Institute’s online catalog are Destination Specialist France and Selling America’s Last Frontier-Alaska.

In 2007 The Travel Institute will launch online courses on Anchorage, St. Barth Properties, Vacation Rentals 4 Agents, and Orient Express Hotels, Trains & Cruises. Theodore Koumelis - Thursday, November 30, 2006
