Nepalese tourism entrepreneurs optimistic by the new political situation
In the process of strengthening the democratic practices, stabilizing political situation and bringing in a lasting peace in Nepal, a meeting of top brass leaders of eight political parties, including the CPN (Maoist) held in the presence of Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala on January 22, 2007 have unanimously agreed not to hold any kind of strike (bandh), traffic blockade and other protest programmes till the election of the Constituent Assembly.
They also urged the civil society not to organize such protest programmes looking into the future of the new Nepal.
The Nepalese tourism entrepreneurs expect that the commitment made by eight political parties, including the CPN (Maoist) will definitely create conducive atmosphere for tourism industry.
