Kuoni acquires Dorado Latin Tours
Kuoni Switzerland continues to expand its portfolio in the specialist segment and acquired Dorado Latin Tours AG. The travel specialist is one of the leading operators of tours to South America and the Polar regions. There will be no change to the situation of the management and the employees of Dorado Latin Tours, who will continue to develop the company further.

Dorado Latin Tours has been active on the Swiss market for 7 years. The experienced company offers specialised and individual trips to South America, from Columbia to Tierra del Fuego. Its programme also includes expeditionary trips to the Arctic and Antarctic and to the Falkland Islands. In 2006, Dorado Latin Tours posted sales of CHF 7.5 million. The parties agreed not to divulge the price of the sale transaction. There will be no change to the situation of the company’s eight employees and its management, who will continue to develop the company further. The operator brand Dorado Latin Tours will be retained.

Dorado Latin Tours will be incorporated into the strategic business unit Switzerland as of 1st April 2007 and assigned organisationally to the division with specialised subsidiaries under the management of Urs Bellmont.
