Laurence Durrell conference on Corfu
The international Laurence Durrell Conference scheduled to be held on the island of Corfu<.>, July 2 to 7, 2000, has announced three guest speakers, John Fowls, author of `The Magus`, Durrell`s sister, Margo Durrell, and Edmund Keeley, translator of Greek poets.
Parallel to this announcement have been tentative plans for the filming of two Durrell books, Bitter Lemons and The Alexandria Quartet.
