Worldspan deploys new online check-in functionality for travelers
Worldspan has increased traveler services through its My Trip and More online itinerary solution, offering travelers online check-in capabilities on participating airlines. According to the company, clients of Worldspan subscribers receive an e-mail 24 hours in advance of their flight times, advising that they can check in via the Internet, print a boarding pass and avoid airport lines the next day. Check-in is completed by clicking the link provided in the e-mail, or via a link in the traveler`s personalized itinerary display at the My Trip and More Web site.

Midwest Airlines is the charter participating airline with additional carriers planned. The feature is available to all travelers whose itineraries are booked by Worldspan`s travel agency, corporate and e-commerce customers who use the My Trip and More Web site as an added itinerary service for their clients.

Online check-in through My Trip and More supports Worldspan`s drive to deliver new technologies that are exceptionally customer service-oriented, said Sue Powers, Worldspan chief information officer and senior vice president -- Worldwide Product Solutions. This feature complements the services our customers already provide to travelers, streamlines processing at airports on behalf of our airline customers, and is a welcome feature for time-pressed travelers.

Midwest Airlines is pleased to provide customers the ability to check in online through Worldspan`s My Trip and More itinerary platform, said Carol S. Reda, Midwest Airlines` director of Distribution and E-commerce. This technology is proving popular with our travelers, who appreciate the convenience it offers.
