CWT Program Management Center to give presence at ACTE`s conference in Munich
Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT) will showcase the new CWT Program Management Center at this year’s ACTE Global Education Conference, being held in Munich October 21-23. CWT subject matter experts from around the world will also
participate in general and education sessions throughout the conference.

The CWT Program Management Center, which was launched globally in May, is a Web-based, one-stop source of information designed to help travel managers and travel buyers easily access the data they need to optimize their travel program.

CWT is sponsoring the conference’s opening keynote presentation on Sunday, October 21. Martin Warner, CWT executive vice president, Global Account Solutions, will present Dr. Norbert Walter, Chief Economist, Deutsche Bank, who will discuss Europe and the global economy.

The following day, Mr. Warner and Isabelle Koch, CWT vice president, Corporate & Marketing Communications and a member of the ACTE board of directors, will be among a select group of top executives in government and industry participating in the ACTE European Travel Executive Summit. The purpose of this summit is to debate critical business issues of public and private concern, with a special focus on sustainability and security and the attendant economic and operational impacts of various regulatory initiatives.

CWT is also sponsoring two education sessions:

Regional Spotlight: China.

Martina Eggler, CWT Vice President, Strategic Sales & Account Management, Marketing Central & Eastern Europe and a member of the ACTE steering committee, will be one of the presenters of this session, which focuses on the complex business travel market in China, where CWT has successfully launched a corporate online booking tool.

Regional Spotlight: India.

Praveen Gandhi, CEO CWT India, will be among the presenters of this session. CWT recently obtained majority control of its Indian joint venture and is the industry leader in this fast-growing business travel market.

Commenting on the long-standing relationship between CWT and ACTE, Mr. Warner said, “CWT has been a proud sponsor of ACTE for more than 10 years and several members of our team serve either on the board of directors or various steering committees. We value the professionalism ACTE embodies and applaud the association’s continuing commitment to education and research. We also recognize the strong voice with which ACTE defends the interests of our industry and its multiple stakeholders. As a global leader, CWT is committed to working with ACTE to shape the business travel industry on behalf of all of its constituents.” Michael Verikios - Friday, October 19, 2007
