Tradition & Every year events:
Carnival: One of Düsseldorf’s most important festivals, the equivalent of Mardi Gras also referred to as the fifth and foolish season. Usually it takes place in February and it is a time of elaborate parades, masks, balls and election of Carnival king and queen and official madness.
Jazz Rally: Germanys biggest Jazz Festival, 3 days in May/June, 70 concerts, 300,000 visitors. All styles of Jazz, Blues, Funk, Swing & Soul. Distinctive atmosphere!
Japan Day: Japan Day is held every year in May as an event to celebrate the outstanding relationship between Japan and Düsseldorf. Highlight of the day is an original Japanese display of fireworks.
