European Meetings and Events Conference opens online registration
Registration is now open for the European Meetings and Events Conference which will take place in London from 18-20th April 2008. The event, formerly known as the Professional Education Conference - Europe, is the first international meetings and events industry educational event hosted in London as well as being the first ever co-created event. The new approach taken by MPI to design and execute what is now the largest pan-European educational conference for meeting professionals will offer a more relevant, engaging and elevating experience for participants.

The conference is being co-created around what meeting and event professionals need to be successful in today’s – and tomorrow’s – global marketplace. Industry leaders have identified critical experiences that will become the basis for the design and delivery of the conference in a way that offers unprecedented value to the industry. New features for the coming conference include Open Space sessions.

The conference will also be the first industry event to implement the BS 8901 sustainable event standard. BS 8901 helps the industry to publicly demonstrate its commitment to sustainability and provides a route map that explains sustainability in event management as well as how to develop and benchmark this capability in organisations.

In line with the strategy to make this event the largest meetings industry conference in Europe targeting MPI members and non-members; a number of associations have agreed to support and partner with the conference including ABPCO, BACD, Eventia, SITE, MIA, EIA, ISES.

The conference hosted by Visit London and ExCeL will welcome experienced leaders and new members of this rich global community, and through human connections and creativity, provide each attendee with prominent connections to the worldwide meetings and events industry.
