Silverjet appoints industry veteran as Head of UAE sales
British business class airline Silverjet has announced the appointment of Jane Daly as Head of UAE Sales, a move that is expected to further drive strong initial sales for the company’s new Dubai-London route. In-line with the carrier’s strategy, Ms. Daly will be responsible for leading and delivering sales in Dubai’s rapidly growing business class segment, capturing an increasing market share of passengers that fly annually in business class cabins between Dubai and London.

Working closely with local partners including ground agent Dnata, Jane and her team will draw from Silverjet’s growing base of corporate and leisure travellers looking for the luxury, convenience and affordability of a low fare all business class model.

Based in Dubai and reporting to Silverjet’s Global Sales & Marketing Director Katherine Gershon, Jane will leverage more than 25 years experience across airline sales, airport operations, PR, events and marketing to help drive Silverjet’s market share growth in the UAE.

Katherine Gershon, Sales & Marketing Director commented: “We are delighted to announce Jane’s appointment. Her experience will be invaluable as we look to grow on the success of Silverjet’s first two months operating between London and Dubai.”

Since the launch of daily flights from Dubai to London Luton on 19 November 2007, the airline has been warmly welcomed by discerning UAE travellers, with the new Dubai route already performing ahead of expectations.

“Silverjet may be new to this market but our unique offering is one that the discerning and price-conscious traveller within the UAE is fully embracing. I am very excited to be heading the sales team here in Dubai and have been strongly encouraged by the level of interest in our service,” said Daly.
