The NBTA Foundation, the education and research foundation of the National Business Travel Association (NBTA), launched the Foundation Partnership Initiative, through which the Foundation will partner with corporations and other stakeholders interested in advancing the corporate travel industry. This new collaboration effort, to run from 2009 through 2013, will allow the Foundation to continue to deliver and enhance educational and research offerings, expand these offerings globally, and build a Foundation that is self-sustaining.
Fay Beauchine, NBTA Board of Trustees Chair, said: “Through the Foundation’s previous five-year capital campaign we were able to raise more than $5 million to support education and research for the business travel community. Judging by the corporate support and enthusiasm we’ve already received for this new partnership initiative, it will no doubt reach the same level of success, allowing us to work toward self-sustainment while still providing corporate travel professionals across the globe with more resources than ever before.
Seven stakeholders have already joined the Foundation Partnership Initiative. These Premier Partners include:
$1 Million
The National Business Travel Association
$500,000
InterContinental Hotels Group
$250,000
Carlson Wagonlit Travel
Concur
Wyndham Hotel Group
$100,000
Continental Airlines
Northwest Airlines
Beauchine continued: “On behalf of the NBTA Foundation and business travel professionals across the world who will benefit from their contributions, I would like to thank our Premier Partners for enthusiastically stepping forward as our first Foundation Partnership Initiative partners. We look forward to joining with other corporations and stakeholders throughout the Initiative to further the Foundation’s research and education mission through 2013 and beyond, working diligently to enhance initiatives and offerings that benefit the careers of NBTA Members and the business travel industry as a whole.
