Greening of tourism at the forefront of ANTOR's seminar

With global warming a stark reality of 21st century life, the tourism industry is set to play a key role in preserving the world’s fragile environment – an environment which, quite literally, generates tourism’s income and ensures its future.

There are a mass of questions facing the tourism industry that must be dealt with; carbon emissions, clean energy, the preservation of fragile ecologies, water pollution. These, and many other related issues, must be addressed by all of the tourism sector now and in the immediate future if the industry is to minimise its carbon footprint.

The Association of National Tourist Office Representatives (ANTOR) is hosting a special ‘Sustainable Tourism’ seminar in Sydney on Wednesday 23rd April to discuss the range of vital issues facing the tourism industry midst a changing, fragile environment.

This is a major opportunity for members of the travel industry to discuss the implications of tourism on the environment, the tourism industry’s responsibilities, what the industry can do to minimise its environmental impact and to look at sustainable tourism options.

Key speakers include:

Additional speakers will be announced in later state.

The seminar will take place on Wednesday April 23, at the American Club Level 15, in Sydney.
