InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has announced the appointment of Jurgen Baumhoff as the new General Manager at InterContinental Semiramis Cairo. Baumhoff, who officially started his new role on March 17th, brings with him over 35 years experience in the hospitality industry and will play a vital role in maintaining this celebrated property’s position as a symbol of modernity and style in Egypt. Having recently concluded a multimillion dollar lobby renovation the InterContinental Semiramis Cairo, featuring 728 rooms, boasts exceptional facilities and continues to be one of the cities most revered establishments.
Having worked within IHG for over 25 years, including a Regional General Manager role in the United Kingdom for InterContinental hotels, Baumhoff has clearly demonstrated his passion and drive for the hotel industry. With a strong commitment to quality and customer satisfaction Baumhoff will take a pivotal role at the InterContinental Semiramis Cairo where he will oversee all hotel management operations.

Baumhoff has held several General Manager positions across a number of continents & cities including; Germany , Hong Kong, Australia, London and has recently returned from Qatar where he was CEO of a major hotel/owner development company.
InterContinental Hotels Group currently operates 76 properties and 18,617 rooms within the Middle East and Africa with a further 43 properties and 11,126 rooms in the development pipeline.
