Exclusively business class airline Silverjet announced the launch of ‘Silverjet Mobile’, a full mobile internet service which enables passengers to access all of the functionality of its website through their mobile devices.
Passengers can access the site by entering Silverjet’s web site address into their mobile browser, after which they can book flights, check their flight status, select seats, and choose meals - all from their mobile phone or PDA.
The ability to access information “on the go” is set to become a major business travel trend, as the demand for mobile internet services in the UAE is increasing among business travellers seeking to maximize productivity while on the move.
George Henderson, IT Director, Silverjet, said: “The launch of Silverjet Mobile is a response to the clear demand for mobile travel services and further strengthens the Silverjet experience, which aims to deliver convenience at all points of our customer’s journey. This innovative service will help our customers make and manage their bookings in a way that suits their increasingly hectic schedules.”
The new service was developed in close partnership with mobile solutions provider Mobile Travel Technologies (MTT).
Gerry Samuels, Executive Director, MTT, comments: “With nearly 500 million mobile internet customers worldwide, MTT is delighted to provide the technology to power Silverjet Mobile, bringing a range of customer services to this increasingly important channel.”
