Novotel London West in Hammersmith has launched a new training initiative called POP (People of Promise) designed to identify early those people who show potential and help them to become stars in the hotel industry, through bespoke training programmes developed for the individual.
Michael Sloan, General Manager of Novotel London West, said: “This programme is not for graduates, Accor already runs its own extremely successful graduate programme; this initiative is open to individuals that Novotel London West identifies who show real ability and aptitude, and who have the makings of a manger or GM. This scheme will allow people to fulfil their true potential.
“We need to encourage people to stay in this industry particularly in the run up to the 2012 Olympics Games when those with the right skills will be in high demand. This initiative is designed to obtain and retain a high performing workforce. We want to spot budding talent early to ensure we invest in those that will go on to have senior roles within Novotel London West and the Accor Group.”
The training programme will be designed to meet the particular needs of the individual and could include courses at the London Business School and the London School of Hospitality.
