The Association of Canadian Travel Agencies (ACTA) welcomed a new industry partner and announced the additional benefits that are now being offered through its ID Card Program. Air Canada, which already recognizes the card for domestic travel, now also offers ACTA cardholders, who are working in an IATA accredited agencies, two reduced rate AD75 authorization numbers entitling them to a 75% reduction on applicable fares when travelling with Air Canada, Air Canada Jazz, Central Mountain Air, Air Alliance/Air Georgian. The reduced rate offer will also provide a 50% discount on applicable fares for an accompanying spouse. One (1) authorization can be used for the ACTA Travel Agent ID cardholder and their spouse. Please note authorizations are valid for North American and International travel.
Gray Line is joining the program with an offer of a 10% commission on all products booked on the company's website to holders of the ACTA identification card.
“When we launched the ID Card, over a year ago, the Association intended to offer a card with real value to bona fide travel professionals. With close to one hundred suppliers now offering benefits to ACTA cardholders, and new industry partners joining on a regular basis, we can now say “Mission accomplished,” commented Christiane Théberge, President and CEO of ACTA, adding “ACTA has done a few simulations on one–week trips using suppliers which recognize the ACTA ID Card, both domestic and international, and we’ve concluded that savings amount up to one thousand dollars with the card. Not bad for a $30 a year card! ”
ACTA pointed out that over the last few months welcomed Sandman Hotel Group, Australian Pacific Touring, Kensington Tours, Artistours, Harbour Air Seaplanes and Alpha Executive Air.
