Jet2.com announces first Croatia route
Jet2.com, the north’s leading low fare airline, has today announced the launch of four new routes across its bases as it continues to expand and diversify its services for UK holidaymakers. This week’s news takes the total number of new services launched for summer 2009 up to eight.

New routes just launched today are Dubrovnik in Croatia and Larnaca in Cyprus from Leeds Bradford - making a fantastic 40 destinations alone from Yorkshire; Sardinia from Manchester Airport; and Ibiza from Newcastle.

Today’s announcement follows last week’s news that Jet2.com will begin a new service from Leeds Bradford to the Greek island of Rhodes and the recent launch of its new Belfast to Jersey, Blackpool to Menorca and Edinburgh to Sardinia routes.

The airline has hinted that there may still be yet more new routes for next year but would not be drawn on specific destinations.

Speaking about the announcement, Philip Meeson, boss of Jet2.com, commented: “At Jet2.com we are committed to ensuring that holidaymakers in the UK have unprecedented choice when it comes to their holiday destination. These new route launches really underline this commitment to our customers and we are confident that they will be an extremely successful addition to our schedule.

“Dubrovnik is an especially exciting addition for us as it is the first time that we have flown into Croatia. With its Italian influences and miles of clean, sandy beaches, it is a destination which is fast becoming one of Europe’s leading holiday hot spots.

“So far we have announced eight new routes for next summer but there is more to come - watch this space for more announcements soon.”
