Hilton considers affiliating new units in Romania
Adela Cristea, Development Manager of Hilton for Europe and Africa, stated that there are affiliating opportunities for new establishments in Romania, especially in Bucharest, Brasov, Timisoara, Cluj as well as in some of the seaside and mountain resorts.
Cristea stated that in Romania there are affiliating opportunities to the Hilton, Doubletree by Hilton and Hilton Garden Inn brands for new and also existing units in the upscale sector. Signing the affiliation of Hilton hotel in Sibiu at the end of the last year was the most significant achievement, stated Adela Cristea.
In order to be affiliated, Palace Dumbrava hotel, owned by Nicolae Minea businessman from Sibiu, required investments of EUR 25 mil. The hotel has 115 rooms, 5 conference halls with a capacity of 1,000 seats, 4 restaurants and spa on an area of 1,500 sq m. Hilton plans to launch a new lifestyle brand by the occasion of the Hotel Investments Forum in Berlin, held in March this year, which will be implemented in Europe. Hilton representatives also consider markets with high potential as Romania, countries such as Germany, Italy, Iberian Peninsula, Poland, Russia and Turkey.
