Crowne Plaza–Madison completes $5m. renovation

InterContinental Hotels Group) announced that the 226-room
Crowne Plaza-Madison Hotel has recently completed a $5 million renovation. Investcorp and Interstate Hotels and Resorts have invested in the following renovations to the 6-story property:
- Enhancements to sleeping rooms and new, HVAC with individualized temperature controls
- The hotel has added 3,300 sq. ft. of meeting space, including a new boutique ballroom
- A full complement of new technology to include all new audio visual equipment
- The hotel has added a new restaurant “The Prairie Cafe” featuring a daily breakfast
- A new full service Starbucks featuring a variety of specialty coffee drinks
- The new Growlers Bar and Grill a Wisconsin theme craft beer bar featuring local fare
- A modernized design based on Frank Lloyd Wright’s “Prairie Style” throughout hotel
- “Travel Green” certified hotel, by Travel Green Wisconsin

The Crowne Plaza-Madison is located at 4402 East Washington Avenue, on the eastside of Madison and is within walking distance to East Towne Mall, movie theaters, bowling alley, parks and several restaurants. The hotel offers such business conveniences as: 11 meeting and event rooms (10,100 sq. ft.), dedicated Crowne Meetings Director, 2-Hour Response Guarantee complimentary Business Center, airport shuttle and parking. Other amenities include: Sleep Advantage Program with Sleep Aids, specialized pillow menus, Meeting Planner Rewards, indoor swimming pool, whirlpool, 24-hour fitness center, sundries shop and game area.
The Crowne Plaza-Madison is owned in a joint venture by Investcorp and Interstate Hotels and Resorts and managed by Interstate Hotels and Resorts, under a license agreement with a company in the InterContinental Hotels Group.
