Sylvia Lima named GM at the New Yorker Hotel
Following its $70m. renovation and remodeling effort that propelled The New Yorker Hotel into the forefront of midtown hotels catering to business travelers, meetings and conferences as well as a variety of vacationers, The New Yorker Hotel Management Company has named Sylvia Lima as the new general manager, Sylvia Limaa move designed to take the hotel to a higher level of service that will match the new facilities. Mrs. Lima is a veteran travel and hospitality industry executive with more than 25 years of experience and becomes the first female to hold the position of general manager at The New Yorker Hotel.  Mrs. Lima brings a new high-energy profile to the position and intends to lead the staff of more than 500 employees in providing a superior level of quality service that meets the needs of both business and leisure guests.
