NYC Restaurant Week Winter 2010
NYC & Company, New York City's marketing, tourism and partnership organization, announced NYC Restaurant Week Winter 2010 will feature more than 260 participating restaurants, making it the City's largest dining program to date since it began in 1992. The two-week event will run from January 25 to February 7, 2010, and feature several new components, including an NYC Restaurant Week Truck, in addition to returning notable restaurants. Added elements to the dining program this season include exclusive benefits for American Express Cardmembers. Food enthusiasts also will be able to enter sweepstakes from Coca-Cola and JetBlue.

"In its 19th year, NYC Restaurant Week continues to evolve while remaining accessible and affordable for New York City residents and visitors," said NYC & Company CEO George Fertitta. "The program’s expansion is a testament to the value and success of the dining event, which continues to be well received season after season."

"Restaurants are an integral part of the fabric of life in New York City. Our restaurants offer unparalleled quality, variety, and hospitality, and that's why NYC's Restaurant Week is so eagerly anticipated and supported," said Jane Reiss, Chief Marketing Officer at NYC & Company. "Other cities have followed us by implementing Restaurant Weeks, but New York City's culinary celebration is North America's largest, oldest and most respected program."

Returning favorites this winter include The Sea Grill, City Hall Restaurant, db Bistro Moderne, Delmonico’s Steakhouse and Tribeca Grill (an NYC Restaurant Week participant since the program's first year). Newcomers this season include The Breslin Bar & Dining Room, SD26 Restaurant & Wine Bar, Todd English's Olives New York, Ze Cafe and The Libertine.

Also brand new to the dining program is the NYC Restaurant Week Truck, which will make its way through Manhattan offering gourmet soup from various NYC Restaurant Week participants. The truck will cater to patrons in high-traffic locations between 11am and 2pm, January 25–29 and February 1–5. Foodies will be able to track the truck's whereabouts, look up prices and find out which two restaurants are serving their daily selections via nycgo.com/restaurantweek and twitter.com/nycgo.

NYC Restaurant Week Winter 2010 is produced by NYC & Company and supported by Founding Sponsor American Express and Participating Sponsors Coca-Cola and JetBlue Airways.

“American Express is proud to once again support NYC Restaurant Week, and pleased to provide our Cardmembers with exclusive benefits during the program,” said Lisa Skiptunis, vice president, client management, American Express Merchant Services. “NYC Restaurant Week gives New Yorkers and visitors the unique opportunity to enjoy many excellent restaurants and truly get a taste of New York City.”

NYC Restaurant Week Winter 2010 also will feature the Coca-Cola Loves NYC Sweepstakes for a chance to win the grand prize of two tickets to a concert at Madison Square Garden. Other prizes include dinner for two at the James Beard House and a table for four to see a show at Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola.

For the second time, in partnership with NYC & Company, JetBlue Airways will offer a special NYC Restaurant Week promotion, JetBlue More to Love NYC Sweepstakes. Consumers can enter to win an NYC weekend for two: airfare for two, two nights in a luxury hotel and a meal at one of New York City’s fine dining establishments.
