Record search volumes for holidays in a home from home
Just 10 days in to the shiny new year and a record number of people are browsing for holiday home accommodation around the world on the UK’s busiest holiday home website, holidaylettings.co.uk. Visitors to the website are up 55 per cent year on year, with a million people visiting the site since 2010 began.

Around a third of people searching are enquiring about holidays in July and August. Many others are looking at breaks in the UK and on the slopes for February half term, Spain and Florida are particular favourites for the Easter holidays and staycation weekends are proving popular for Valentine’s weekend.

The following lists show the five most popular destinations for a range of holiday types. This data is based on searches carried out since Boxing Day.
