Wizz Air, the largest low fare – low cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe announced that it would launch two new routes from Poland; from Warsaw to Madrid and from Gdansk to Barcelona. The flights will start on 24 April and initially operate 2 times a week. The two new routes will replace current flights to Gothenburg (from Gdansk) and Memmingen (from Katowice).
“By making this change in our network, we are reflecting the real needs of our passengers. The numerous feedbacks that we got from the public as well as from the trade indicated that Spain is an increasingly popular market and we believe that now is the right time to act” said Gyorgy Abran, Chief Commercial Officer of Wizz Air.
