Statistics for the Unique Venues of London (UVL) website illustrate that 2009 was the strongest year for the organisation in its history. The web statistics show site traffic for the entire UVL website, which includes information on each of its 69 diverse venues. They illustrate a 24% increase in unique visitors to the site compared with 2008 figures and 130% increase compared with 2007 when the site was launched.
The stats also illustrate that the UVL website is most popular in the UK with more pages viewed each month in this location, followed by the USA and Germany. For the first time the website has also been viewed by those in Israel, the Netherlands and Switzerland, which has added to the 64% increase in pages viewed compared with 2007.
Lisa Hatswell Chairman of UVL and Sales and Corporate Events Manager at The Merlin Entertainments London Eye comments: “As demand for out of the ordinary venues grows, so does the popularity of the UVL website. Our portfolio includes some of the most spectacular buildings, monuments and structures that the capital has to offer, each providing memorable events. As such, UVL truly reflects the diversity and history of London which not only attracts UK buyers but also those from further afield looking for that exclusive London experience”.
“It is encouraging to see the 2009 statistics and we hope that this year’s figures prove to be just as successful” Lisa adds.
The news comes ahead of UVL’s plans to refresh the website to reflect the design of its 2010 brochure, which launched in February this year.
