Copelouzos Group partners with the Government of St. Petersburg for Pulkovo airport
The General Manager of Copelouzos Group, Mr I. Karydas co-signed in St. Petersburg, Russia, on behalf of “Northern Capital Gateway” the putting into effect of the 30 – year Public – Private – Partnership Agreement with the Government of St. Petersburg for the development, reconstruction and operation of Pulkovo airport.

“Northern Capital Gateway”, also signed the Head of Terms of the financing with a group of banks led by EBRD and IFC.

“Northern Capital Gateway”, undertakes as of today the operation of the Pulkovo Airport and begins the implementation of the development works. In Northern Capital Gateway participates Horizon Air Investments S.A., member of Copelouzos Group, together with the German Fraport AG, which manages and operates inter alia the airport of Frankfurt, one from the three bigger airports in Europe, and the Russian VTB Capital, member of Group VTB, which constitutes one of the larger state owned banking groups in Russia.

The Project, of 1.2 billion euros planned investment, includes the construction of a new passenger terminal, the modernization of the existing airport infrastructure and the construction of new buildings for commercial exploitation, aiming at creating a modern airport of the highest international standards.

Copelouzos Group already participates in the share capital of Athens International Airport and the above investment constitutes another step in the series of the Group’s investments in airport development projects in Europe.
