Vueling increased its load factor by 0.6 percentage points in May

Vueling carried 945,048 passengers in May, up 119.2% year on year. Disruption to flights caused by the second volcanic cloud between 8th and 11th May resulted in Vueling cancelling 211 flights, affecting a total of 26,725 passengers.

Summer season
Vueling expands its route network this summer with the commencement of routes from Barcelona to Ljubljana, Amman, Istanbul and Tel-Aviv from the end of this month. From 24 June Vueling also adds Barcelona-Edinburgh three times a week to complement its London Heathrow services to Bilbao, Seville and La Coruna.

From July 5th, the airline will start making connections from El Prat Airport (Barcelona) converting it into a hub, from where it will offer 418 new connection routes. Vueling forecasts it will double the current number of connecting passengers at the airport, where it is already the leader with a 27% market share, adding between 250,000 and 350,000 passengers in transit in 2010.
