TAP Portugal enters Ukrainian shores together with Aviareps

TAP Portugal extends its performance in South Eastern Europe and enters the Ukrainian market. For its representation, the leading Portuguese airline trusts the professional expertise of Aviareps and has once more chosen the multinational aviation and tourism management company as GSA. This new agreement marks the third collaboration after similar agreements for the Polish and Russian markets. Aviareps will take over all future sales, marketing and ticketing activities to establish the brand within the Ukraine and to promote the attractive range of flights offered by TAP Portugal.

Since March 2005, TAP Portugal is a member of Star Alliance and benefits from numerous partner agreements. From its hub in Lisbon the Portuguese airline operates currently more than 1,850 flights per week and services an extensive route network both within Europe and between Europe and Africa as well as South America.

Passengers travelling from the Ukraine benefit from seamless connections to Lisbon which TAP Portugal is offering in close cooperation with Ukraine’s leading international carrier Ukraine International Airlines. Three weekly flights - every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday - connect Kiev with Lisbon. A state-of-the-art Boeing aircraft leaves the Ukrainian capital at 5:40 pm and arrives at the Portuguese hub at 8:40 pm. From Lisbon, passengers can easily continue their journey by taking one of the numerous TAP flights to other destinations like Funchal, Faro, Porto (Portugal), Sal, Praia (Cape Verde), Rio de Janeiro, Brasilia, Sao Paolo, Salvador (Brazil), Dakar (Senegal) or Casablanca (Morocco).

Founded in 1945, TAP Portugal is not only the leading airline in Portugal but also the leading carrier worldwide operating flights to Brazil. With its extensive route network the private airline currently serves 64 destinations in 30 countries worldwide. TAP Portugal furthermore maintains a modern and young fleet consisting of 51 state-of-the-art Airbus aircraft.
